365 project - 37th week

After catching up last week, I totally forgot to post the latest photos on Sunday. Sheesh.

It was a pretty tough week. I was tired and wasn't picking up my camera until late in the day, therefore, I was having trouble finding subjects to shoot. Oh, well, I can't be brilliant every day, right? ;)

Here's the latest bunch of photos from the 37th week of my 365 project:

365 project - 36th week

The good news is that with this post, I think I'm completely caught up in posting photos for my 365 project.  YAY!

The bad new is that I somehow missed another day this week and had to use a filler photo in place of the missed day. I think because I've missed a few days now (5 in less than a month) my guard is down and I'm totally forgetting to pick up my camera. I don't even notice until days later.   Oh well, can't do anything about it now.

My favourite is the grasshopper.  Too bad I cut off his antennae.  :(  Also, I like the "out of bounds" effect on the candy, but I've yet to find the perfect subject.  This one is just okay.

Anyway, here are the photos for the 36th week of my 365 project:

365 project - 35th week

This was an abysmal week for taking photos. It started out ok, but then we went on a three day/two night road trip. I had my camera all packed up and ready to go, but in the last minute I decided to leave it at home. After all, I had my phone with me and it has a decent camera. I figured it was a good time to start using it. Also, we were going to be making lots of stops on the way. Since my camera bag is large and I didn't want to be hauling it with be everywhere I went, I would have had to leave it in the car unattended many times during those few days whereas I could just slip my phone in my purse. I had also left my music CDs at home for the same reason after loading my phone with my favourite tunes.

So, why did I miss those few days if I had my phone with me? Well, my other half decided (after we left the house) that it was better if I didn't turn on my phone unless it was a emergency. Something about roaming charges...blah, blah, blah...even if I wasn't making a call or surfing the 'net. Why he couldn't have said that before we left the house, wasn't clearly verbalized to me. It would have taken me 10 seconds to grab my camera bag and my CDs, both of which were ready to go. Nope, he decides to tell me this an hour into our trip.

For all I know, he didn't want to listen to music and wanted quiet. I gave him quiet, all right. Almost 3 full days of quiet. ;)

I used filler photos for the 3 missed days.

My absolute favourite is the spider.  I think it's my favourite shot to date.  It could have been a little sharper in a few places, but I love everything else about it.

Here are the photos for my 35th week of my 365 project:

365 project - 34th week

I'm so far behind in posting these photos. It's amazing how much time it takes. It's a long process: take them, weed out the bad ones, post-process the "chosen" one or two, upload it to Flickr and finally to here. Then I want to write something to accompany them. Ahhhhh!!! Anyway....

My favourites are: the match, the acorns and the Ace.

Here are my photos for the 34th week of my 365 project:

365 project - 33rd week

AHHHHHH!!!! I somehow missed a day. My first! I'm not sure what happened other than when I downloaded my photos mid-week, I noticed that August 13 was missing. I was pretty upset, especially since I hadn't missed a day up to that point. There wasn't much I could do about it so, I got over it fairly quickly. Little did I know that there would be more missed days to come. :( More about that in subsequent posts.

I hadn't planned on using any filler photos, however, I've since decided otherwise. For the days I missed, I "filled-in" with other photos taken on another day. I don't love the idea, but it's better than have gaps in my project. Besides, I'm trying to use photos that were taken during the same time period....ones that were taken relatively close to the missed day. Also, the filler photos are ones that I sort of like so I'm sort of happy they will be included in the project.

My favourites are the mushroom (I like the dry brush edit I used) and the catepillar.

Here are the photos for the 33rd week of my 365 project:
